Vortec Supercharged GTS I have a set of Anderson's old Kinesis K5's on my GTS. 9" up front and 11' on the rear with Pilot Sports, 285/40-17's front and 315/35-17 rear. They fit great. The fronts will scrap wheel wells at full lock, so bumper stops were added. Mark would know the offsets as I don't remember. It's true that there aren't many successful blown GTS's yet, but I see no reason not to proceed. My car did have an engine fire a month back, so DEVEK has the car to replace vacuum lines and engine harness. Mine is setup for 11psi at 6000 rpm, but the compression has been lowered. I've put about 2000 miles on the car breaking it in as a complete rebuild was done. I autocross monthly and maybe a couple track days a year, but my goal was to retain the comfortable GT cruiser the car already is with more power there when I need it. I have DEVEK's externally adjustable Koni/Spring setup, with stock sway bars. Autocross requires the body lean to be faster through the corners. Bought my 93 GTS auto almost 3 years ago for $38500 with 47k miles on it.
Cost - below is my short list of parts Eric did. There were basically 2
engine builds and many non-engine items done. I know Eric spent much more
time on the car than charged. Total cost was $35,894. Now if you take the
original price I paid for the car, add the trips to DEVEK to get the car
right, add Eric.... I could be driving a Manarello, 456GT, 355 Spider,
etc... I have maybe $90k in the car now, but it's brand new. I can't wait
for some track days - maybe with Golden Gate Lotus Club at Buttonwillow on
the 13th of October.
