Vehicle Description Porsche 928 GT Year model 1990 one of the original 100 imported to the states. This car has only 48,000 original miles, many of them on the highway. The VIN number is WP0JB2924LS860491. It is the much sought after black on black and is just an unbelievable car. I have owned it for five years. I have spent much enjoyable time driving and restoring this car to excellent condition. Clean carfax title check. I bought the car in great condition, but I am a little bit of a perfectionist so I have the car very close to the way it rolled off the showroom floor. These cars have extremely loyal fans and someone will get a car that most of the loyalists say was the best of the breed. In its day it competed with the Ferrari Testarossa, 911 turbo, and the Corvette ZR-1. It can still run circles around most more modern sports cars. Performance was impressive 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.7 at over 100 mph. Top speed was an impressive 171 mph. The car had much of the technology of the 959 supercar and was one of the first cars to have dual air bags and tire pressure sensors. Before going into the conditions of each sector of the car, I will also give the buyer all of the original Porsche literature I have collected. That alone, with all of the dealer literature and brochures, is worth several hundred dollars and many hours of searching. Also, I will include the car cover and all the original parts that I have replaced over the years. Working from the ground up this is what I have done to the car since I have owned it. Replaced the tires, which still have 65% of their tread, turned and replaced the bake rotors and pads, blead the brake system, flushed out the cooling system, replaced the CV boots, replaced the shocks with the Koni reds, put on the urethane bushing kit, have put on the drop link sway bar kit, Devek strut tower brace, installed the RMB muffler kit, replaced the fuel filters, have the adjustable fuel pressure regulator, have Bosch +4 spark plugs, installed the Knology hot wire set, K&N air filter, replaced the cap & rotor sets, replaced the accessory belts, replaced the Timing belt and retensioned, installed a rich-lean gage, replaced the clutch with the GENUINE Porsche GTS upgrade clutch, serviced the torque tube, and serviced the PSD hydraulic system. There cannot be another GT any better maintained than this one. The exterior is in excellent condition. There are a few acid rain spots, but on a black car there is not much you can do about it. The car has always been garaged. The car has not been wrecked and is straight on the sides. I have even gone to the trouble to put the car on four digital scales and weighed it out to make sure the 50/50 weight distribution was intact. There is absolutely no chassis damage. This car has been driven so it is not perfect, but like I said I am a perfectionist. Everyone else says it is great. The interior is in almost showroom condition. It still smells new. Everything works perfect and the air blows ice cold. I have replaced the cassette with an Eclipse CD player, but I cut no holes or anything else in the car. Car has a custom installed K-40 radar detector. I also have the original owner’s manual. In closing I would like to mention the only things that may need replacing, and that is if you are a perfectionist, the sunshade cover over the read deck in the interior (roughly $80.00) and the under engine belly pan. The 928 international makes a nice all aluminum pan for around $250.00. Other than that the car is in wonderful condition. After the tuning job and the few modifications (all bolt-on) this car will really run, probably better than the factory car, estimated 345 h.p. on my car. The car has really been a hobby; it was never raced or abused. Hopefully it will end up in a good home. Vehicle Condition Vehicle is in MINT condition. Runs stronger now than when new. Interior 9.5 out of 10. Exterior 9 out of 10. Beautiful Black on Black. I will be glad to answer any question you may have. |
