1989 Porsche 928 S4 Vehicle Description This is a very nice 928 S4 that I have owned for six years. The color is guards red with black leather interior. The car is completely stock with the exception of the wheel and tire upgrade done last year. The stereo system has been replaced with a six-disc in-dash unit playing through the original 10 speakers and amp. For restorers, the original Blaupunkt stereo will be included with the car. For a better exhaust note, the car is currently running a rear-muffler bypass. The original muffler will be provided with the car, re-installed if desired. This car has the rear air conditioning option, powered sunroof, and all of the 928 luxury features that you would expect. This is an enthusiast owned vehicle so it is well cared for and driven regularly. The original window sticker, showing a $76,000 + purchase price, is included. Vehicle Condition The engine and drive train are excellent. Within the last five years and fifteen thousand miles the following engine service items were addressed. Timing belt replaced, tensioner rebuilt, water pump replaced, regular oil changes with Mobil 1. Brakes have been serviced with new rotors in the rear; new flex hoses, new pads all around. The torque tube and rear bearings have been replaced. The interior is in excellent condition showing almost no wear. The only flaw is a pair of small cracks on the top surface of the instrument pod (a common 928 problem). I have a mint condition replacement part that I will include with the car and may consider installing for the new owner. This is a non-smoker vehicle. The exterior is in very good condition. There are no dents or dings on this car. I would rate the paint as very good, especially for a fourteen-year-old car. The passenger door has a small area where the clear coat has lifted and the rear bumper cover has two very small paint chipped areas that have been retouched. The wheels and tires have only 2000 miles on them and look as new. This car is tight and still drives like a new vehicle. There are no rattles, squeaks, or drive train noises.
