Vehicle Description So, you’ve probably been looking for a Porsche 928-S4 that’s worth the investment, is in superb condition, that’s ready to drive and has had all the bugs worked out of it. You’ve just found the right car. I’m not a car dealer. I am a private owner. I’m a member in good standing of the Porsche 928 Owners Club, the Porsche Club of America and a regular participant of the Rennlist site. I’m the kind of person that you want to purchase one of these cars from. I am someone who has pride of ownership and backed it up through stringent maintenance and commitment to condition of the vehicle. Many of the other 928’s you will see on EBAY being sold by car dealers who took them in on trade and just want to unload them or by private sellers who don’t have the money to do the repairs that are needed. Do not be fooled by prices on these cars. Don’t get me wrong, I do not want to dissuade you from buying a Porsche 928, but you should know that they are expensive cars to repair, and that is why finding one in very good condition that is mechanically solid, is difficult. Your best hope is to find an owner who took pride of ownership in the vehicle and had the money to make it right. What I am offering here on Ebay is an exceptional example of a Porche 928-S4 that was lovingly cared for, serviced and repaired. Don’t accept anything less. Looks can be deceiving. Read on please… this car has been done right. It’s well worth the asking price. You can buy this model car on EBAY all day long for 16-17k, but you better have extra money when you purchase a 928-S4 at that price because you won’t be buying a vehicle that is of this caliber. When you read about what has been done to this car, and you see the pictures, you can rest assured you are buying a gem! When I was looking for a 928-S4, I looked at a dozen or more, and I was not willing to settle. I stumbled on this one quite by accident. I knew I would have to sink some money into addressing the mechanical aspects of the car, as this is true for almost all used Porsches, and especially the 928. What I was looking for was CONDITION. Again, #1 on my list was CONDITION. This car has it. All original paint, it has never been hit, beautiful condition inside and out. Since the day I bought the car, it was only serviced at the Premiere Porsche Performance Service shop in Massachusetts (and I paid for it), and I have all the receipts to show for the work I had completed. I purchased the car in November 2001 with 67 k miles on it, and for me it was the realization of a dream to find one that was as good an example as this cart. This car in particular is a serious head-turner. The car was stored in a garage for it’s entire ownership and it shows. I have gone through the car from top to bottom and spent over $7,000 on repairs, maintenance and update since November 2001 and this car is ready to go. Have it inspected anywhere you like – that’s just fine with me - and you will hear nothing but positive feedback on this car. I fully endorse the idea of a pre-sale inspection. I will not budge on my reserve. I know the car is worth it. Why am I selling it? I’ve got a daughter who started college this past fall and a son heading out to college this coming fall. Also, I have two more kids that will be heading to college within two years. Put simply, I need the money. I am selling this car for much less than I have into it. When I show you my receipts, you’ll see that this is true. My loss is your gain. Most of all, I am hoping to sell this car to someone who will really appreciate it and look after it, and wants the comfort of knowing that they are buying a car that is a cream puff. Vehicle Condition Interior: The Interior is black leather and it has the full leather option. It has never been smoked in. When you sit in the car, you can still smell the scent of fresh, German factory leather. The quality of the leather in this car is incredible. The seats are in very good to excellent condition, no cracks in the dashboard, interior door trim is tight and in flawless condition, headliner is clean, supple and beautiful. The leather throughout is in beautiful condition and was maintained and treated with Lexol. No rips, no tears, very little wear for its age. The Exterior - No scratches, no dings, nothing negative to report except for a couple of very tiny paint chips on the exterior mirror covers (the size of a pencil eraser head). Easily touched up – just haven’t got to it yet. The car comes with a brand new factory grey cover with a red Porsche Emblem on it. The lock kit comes with the cover, so the cover can be locked, thus securing access to the car. The car is an automatic with 80k miles. It has a factory alarm that functions perfectly. A/C - It has the front and rear air-conditioning option and I just replaced the entire system (Summer 2002) front and rear for $1,900 and it is still under warranty. Replaced expansion valve, receiver dryer, replaced compressor, rear evaporator. No leaks. The AC will freeze you to death during the summer of 2003!
