1986.5 Porsche 928S Automatic, India Red on Black Leather, Power Sun Roof, Excellent Condition, Always Garaged. This 1986.5 (also known as the 928 S3) is the last model of the original body style introduced in 1978 and includes updated brakes and suspension designed for the 1987 S4 and beyond. The 86.5 was only made for 6 months and about 2000 were made for the US. You will never see yourself coming or going in this car. 5 liter aluminum block V8, 288 HP, car has been very well maintained. The front half of the body of a 928 is all aluminum and the rear is galvanized steel. They have a perfectly balanced 50/50 weight ratio front to rear. In the late 1980s, the 928 was the fastest production car on the planet and this car cost almost $60K new. It is my Sunday fun car and has been babied all it's life by it's three owners. Recent service includes new timing belt at 60K miles, new water pump, new thermostat, new brakes, transmission flushed and serviced, AC serviced (blows ice cold), new O2 sensor, new air filter, tune-up with Bosch platinum plugs and Alpine AM/FM/CD player. No interior wear/rips or dash cracks. Rear AC system, adjustable dash pod, power windows & mirrors, cruise, etc. Paint is in good condition with the standard minor rock chips here and there that come with high speed cruising. For a 19 year old car, it looks incredible. One small door ding on edge of drivers door (there when I bought the car). Never wrecked. Original S style forged aluminum wheels with Z rated Sport Conti's. Front at about 75% and rear at about 50%. No oil drips or leaks. 16 MPG in town and 22 MPG on the open road. Top speed better than 155 MPH. When you drive her, you feel like the "Shark" amoung the minnows. Indescribable feeling. The secret is to control yourself to keep from getting tickets and trust me, it is hard to do! Will probably be the most powerful and finest ride you will ever experience short of a Ferrari.
