Vehicle Description

Up for auction is my 'baby', a 1986 928S that I've invested waaay too much money in and now, sadly, due to other financial obligations I must sell before seeing the project through to completion.

THE GOOD

- Very nice body, paint shines up nicely

- Wheels and tires are like new

- Good engine & transmission

- Comes with near-perfect maroon leather seats from a 911 to replace the worn originals (replacement seats are not power)

- Comes with PERFECT maroon door panels with speaker grilles that I paid A LOT for...

THE BAD:

- Only starts when it feels like it. When it runs, it runs great! But to get it to run consistently, you either need someone great with electrical systems or a magician. Or a priest - it could just be possessed. For this reason, DO NOT expect to be able to drive it home. I recommend that it be trailered or towed.

- High pressure hose on the power steering is bad

- Transmission has a slow leak but shifts fine

- Driver's side exterior door handle is broken but I have the part and it's included

- Has numerous small scratches/paint blemishes that don't show up in the pictures - and that are not noticable unless you look for them up close.

- Passenger's side door molding is missing, but again, I bought one and it's included. You'll have to paint it black, though.

THE INCLUDED PARTS:

- 2 near-perfect maroon leather seats

- 2 sets of manual seat tracks to install said seats

- One pair of PERFECT maroon leather door panels, complete with speaker grilles, hardware, etc.

- One new shifter knob

- One driver's side door handle mechanism (new)

- One passenger's side door molding, charcoal gray in color

AS WITH ANY 20 YEAR OLD CAR, IT IS ADVISED THAT ANYONE INTERESTED COME AND LOOK AT THE CAR BEFORE BIDDING.

I have tried to describe this car accurately and honestly, and I really hate to see it go. I may have missed something, so ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING and I'll be happy to answer them.

Forgot to mention the odometer stopped working. Speedometer works, but odometer no loger registers miles, so car will be sold TMU. Actual mileage is around 151000. Thanks for looking!

More good news.. The key only works on the ignition - not the doors or hatch (but I have a new key blank that just has to be cut); there is a small bubble in the paint on the pillar between the passenger door post and the rear side window (rust?) and the battery is completely dead.
