This California car has been garaged since the day it came out the dealer's door. I am the second owner and bought it from a neighbor so I know it was babied before I bought it (at 33,000 miles). In recent years I have driven it just enough to keep all systems running smoothly. It is in nearly perfect condition, with only minor cosmetic issues described below. The body is sound and rust-free, with factory-original paint and no dents or stains. The black leather interior shows minimal wear for a 20-year old car. There are no cracks, blisters or peeling on the dashboard, and the seats have no tears or punctures. The black pile carpeting is also factory original. This car is mechanically strong. It starts immediately and runs smoothly. There is no noticeable oil consumption. All instruments function normally. The A/C, power windows, power door locks and electric sliding sunroof also function normally. The timing belt was replaced at 37,000 miles. Other regular service and (minor) repair records are available. Other significant equipment/features are: 4.7 Liter, 234 horsepower, electronic fuel injected V8 light alloy engine 5-speed manual transmission Weissach rear axle Power assisted steering Power assisted 4-wheel, dual circuit disc brakes Power windows Pressure-cast alloy wheels Automatic full climate control Electric sliding sunroof Sport seats Protective side moldings Rear leather storage box Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette stereo with four speakers, automatic antenna Cruise control Alarm system (both factory installed and aftermarket) Cell phone with hands-free microphone/speaker (aftermarket installation, not used recently) VIN number is WPOJB0925DS860151 This car has been a pleasure to own and drive, and I am selling it only because I need the garage space for a new (larger) car. Vehicle Condition This car fits the Blue Book definition of "excellent" condition with only a few exceptions listed here. The only known issues are: 1. There are a few small marks in the paint from rock chips and the like. These have been touched up and are not noticeable unless you look very closely. 2. The bottom six inches or so of the side panels and doors was factory-coated with a textured surface as a mudguard, and the paint on this textured strip has cracked or blistered in some places. Check the pictures to see what I mean. 3. The Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette works fine, but the on/off/volume knob was broken during servicing -- it still works, it just doesn't have the black plastic knurled part. This can be seen in one of the pictures. I haven't had time to find a replacement, which I'm told should cost only a few dollars. 4. The passenger seat has a nearly invisible stain at the very back of the bottom cushion. 5. The front flexible air dam (spoiler) developed a tear from curb damage, and this has been fixed with a small metal clamp of which about one inch is visible if you look closely. 6. The A/C thermostat/sensor on the dashboard has some microscopic chipping on one side. It's in one of the pictures, just above the telephone. 7. The tires need to be replaced soon.
