Vehicle Description For auction is a 1981 Porsche 928 which I have owned for the past 6 months and hate to sell but have to for financial reasons. The car is finished in light blue (very rare and beautiful) with tan leather interior. I purchased the car from its second owners as I was told and it is originally from Los Angeles, CA. I was told the car was owned by a famous Radio station owner however I did not attempt to verify the facts. I have records that show that car had a professional paint job a few years ago along with new timing belt and water pump. When I purchased the car it did not run well. Here is what I have done to the car over the last 6 months with all of the receipts available: Complete Tune-up- Including K&N airfilter, smog filter, plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. (all from 928 international). Complete replacement of all vaccum hoses (kit purchased from 928 specialists) Fuel injector on cylinder #7 and flush and renewal of coolant by Leith Porsche in Cary, NC. I had a compression test done as well and all cylinders were between 165-175 which I was told was good. The distributor timing has also been checked and was within range. One new timing belt cover, two new air intake tubes which lead to the air filter housing (928 international). Oil and filter change using synthetic oil. Transmission service including fluid and filter. Brand new floor mats and one new fog light lense (928 International). 4 Brand new YOKOHAMA AVS from the tirerack. Passenger side tie rod has been replaced and the car has been alligned. Brand new power antenna. The car also has a new fuel pump and fuel filter. All electrical options including the heat, windows, a/c, seats and sunroof work. The car has a fantastic CD/AM/FM with the tilting face that has the CD loading behind the face and it sounds great. As you can see, I have spent a great deal of time and money on this car and I have loved driving it for the last 3 months. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES FANTASTIC. The car really does not need anything other than regular maintenance & TLC. It has started everytime with aboslutely first start and has ran strong everytime consistently. The transmission shifts extremely well specially given the transmission service with new fluid and filter. The car appears to get better the more it is driven. I drove it to Charlotte, NC and back and it proved to be a truely spirited machine. You will enjoy this car and will be proud of owning it. The owners manual is included as well as all records of mine and some of the previous owners and a CLEAN CARFAX REPORT. Included is also the complete set of owners manual for the 928 on a single CD. Vehicle Condition Cruise control does not work. Odometer does not work however it is documented in the CarFax report that in 2000 it had 117000 miles and I know due to the condition of the car it has not been driven much since then. The windshield fluid pump does not work. Passenger seat does not tilt forward. One scratch on the rear quarterpanel on driver side. Few air bubbles on the base of driver window (very minor and hard to see). Two very small cracks in the rear part that can only be seen from 1 foot away. One long crack on top of instrument cluster (cover kit for the dash and the top of cluster can be purchased for $119 from 928 International). Around the top vents on the dash, the sun has damaged and raised the leather abit (cover kit will take care of this as well) Terms of Sale I have tried my best to point out everything that comes to mind on this car but I may have missed one or two minor items so don't hold it against me.
