Vehicle Description Low Reserve...must sell as space is needed. This is a 1980 928 in fair condition. That is, the engine is great and trany too before I parked it a few years ago. The engine and trans are good to the best of my knowledge, but cosmetics wise...it needs work. Also, ever since I stopped using the car 2 years ago it has been sitting, and now it won't start. It ran great before I parked it to store, but I don't know if it is the fuel injection or computer or what. When I put gas directly into the fuel intake it starts right up and will run until that little amount of fuel is used up, so I don't know what the problem is but I need my driveway back so the car has to go. The speedo broke just before I stopped using it so the milage is real close to the 89000 showing on the odometer. This car would be a great project for restoration, and or maybe a racing car platform, as a buddy pointed out to me. This car does need work and I do not want to mislead anyone. But they are great underated automobiles and can be put back on the road with out causing a major headacke. The tires seem fine. The space saver is there too. No porche tools in the rear though. Here are some other issues I know about, and they are typical of an older car. Nothing major. The pink slip/title is clear but lost. We just can't find it. Sorry, but I will be happy to sign a sworn statement to the ownership for the winner. It has a very very small dent'dimple on the right fender, see picture. Got that from the 94 Earthquake when a apliance fell on it in the garage. Other misc. tiney dings and a scrape here and there. nothing major. The AC works but needs sorting out. The autolocking system needs work. Speedo needs work. rear seats need upholstery, maybe the fronts too as there is a little seperation in a seam or two. Needs steering wheel cover replaced. could use a new paint job was in a small fender bender 15 years ago. Really small but the front I think right quarter has a little paint peeling/body filler seperation. Not very noticeable, but if you got a paint job that would be fixed anyway. Needs carpet. One power window switch is missing. One rear light lense has a small crack in it from some idiot kid throwing a baseball carelessly. Hood latch works but needs remounting. Door panel are good but not great as is the center consol and dash. Some dash leather is coming up from the hot summer sun. Could use a good interior cleaning. Just alot of nigilly little things here and there I'm sure there is other stuff, but only small stuff typical of an older used car. But the mechanics seem fine and it was regularly serviced when it was on the road. It was aways a second week end car so the milage is low for the years. It was owned by my father, a celebrity so he rarely drove it as he had numerous othwer cars. His family would drive it from time to time, then it just sat in the sun for years and was neglected and forgotten. I need to sell it as I now need the space it takes up. Serious bidders only.
