Vehicle Description Up for bids, 1980 Porsche 928 5/spd. Vin.# 92AO810423 with 72,979 miles. When I bought the former owner had just put on new brakes all around and a new clutch, that was at 66,646. I had the car repainted it's original color of Guards red about 4 years ago, there was no rust on the car then and is none now, all mouldings lights, emblems, and squirter nozzles were removed prior to painting as were frt. and rr. bumpers to install new beading. The following is a list of new parts and upgrades that were done in the last 4 years. [Engine]- All new gaskets and seals except oil pan and rear main, new fuel inj. and plenum hoses, timing belt upgraded to HTD along with timing gears, roller guide plate and belt cover, all driven belts, new vacuum hoses, and oil hoses by fill strainer, idler pulley and fan bearings, throttle micro switches, heater control valve, vacuum limiter, auxillary air valve, rebuilt p/s pump [rear seal was seeping fluid], rebuilt p/s rack, new boots, r/s outer tie rod, rebuilt starter, new plugs wires cap and rotor, K&N air filter, windshield wiper motor cover,under hood heat shield, stainless steel exhaust manifolds [give an extra 10 hp], intermediate muffler was eliminated, and cat hollowed out, new oxy. sensor, shifter coupler, and frt. ball cup, shifter handle was shortened, 4 new cv joint boots. [Body]- H-5 headlight upgrade, Koni frt. shocks, new windshield waser pump, wipers squirters, hood emblem, outer door window weatherstrips,weatherstrips under bonnet by headlights, gas filler boot, third brake light, tinted windows [doors and hatch]. new frt. spoiler, Toyo P225/50 VR16 frt. P245/50VR16 rr., polished rims, Blaupunkt am/fm cd player, Blaupunkt frt. door speakers and JBL in rear seat area, new compressor for spare tire, hood and hatch shocks hatch guide plates. Vehicle Condition I would say exterior of this car is near excellent, interior the frt. seats leather is shrinking [no holes or rips] and are getting worn they are 23 yrs. old. back seats and door panels are decent, new luggage mat. Dashboard has small cracks in corners by vents, dash pod was recovered, I didn't have the heart to do it to the dash. Steering wheel stiching came loose. Transmission syncros aren't the best but all gears are there up and down, downshifting to 2nd. and 1st. are done slow.steering wheel not centerd when alignment was done, car does drive straight. Car is always garaged.Car was inspected at the end of Dec. and flew through no problem.
